Pramod founded Genpact - formerly GE Capital International Services, in 1997 and was the President & CEO of Genpact till June 2011. He is considered the founder and pioneer of the Business Process Management industry in India today, which employs over a million people in India, directly and indirectly. Under his leadership Genpact has been the pioneer of this industry in China, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Genpact is acknowledged today as the leader in its industry with over 65,000 employees across 17 countries and nearly $2b in revenues, and is a public company listed on NYSE.

Prior to Genpact, Pramod's career with GE spanned 25 years across the US, Europe and Asia. He subsequently became the head of GE Capital in India in 1994 and Asia in 1999, having earlier worked with GE Capital's Corporate Finance Group in Stamford, CT, USA. During this tenure he built joint ventures with HDFC in consumer finance, SBI for credit cards and Maruti for auto finance.

Pramod serves on the boards of NDTV, ICRIER, DLF Ltd and SRF Ltd, and on the Governing Boards of IIM Lucknow, Shri Ram School, Help Age India and IFMR.

Pramod has also served as the Chairman of India's National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM).

Pramod is currently working to build "The Skills Academy", a pioneering institute to enhance employability, especially in rural and semi urban areas. The Skills Academy operates 30 centers across many States to provide training to young students-- and job placements in a variety of industries.

Pramod is also a Strategic Advisor, to Private Equity firms, Kedaara in India and CVC in Asia.

Pramod was voted IT Man of the Year and he and Genpact have received many awards for their pioneering efforts in building the industry in India as well as China and Eastern Europe.

Pramod is a UK Chartered Accountant and has a Bcom degree from Delhi University.
