Head, Employee Experience - IDFC Bank

Madhura DasGupta Sinha set up the Employee Experience function at IDFC Bank, India's youngest bank. As an 'Experience Evangelist', she is passionate about creating, defining and and refining experiences - for customers and employees.

Madhura has held several leadership positions in Consumer Banking with ANZ Grindlays and Standard Chartered Bank. As Head - Customer Experience, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, she designed and transformed service delivery across all retail banking products and channels for Standard Chartered Bank.

She also launched and headed the mass affluent and emerging affluent business for Standard Chartered, redefining high net worth banking in India. She weaves in the themes of customer experience in the way IDFC Bank looks at employee experience, and tries to bridge the gap between the customer and employee.

Employee Experience spans the spectrum of all (HR and other) interactions with the employee and the firm; including the Employee Relationship Management, HR Operations and Process & Technology. Her interests include design thinking, user experience and 'humanising' the HR technology space. The journey of IDFC Bank to 5x employees over the last few months has given her opportunities to do what she loves every day.

She is an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Madhura likes to read and travel - usually off the beaten track and is a committed swim parent to her teenage daughter.
