Has helped businesses build differentiated capabilities in the market place though designing and deploying complex talent strategy, acquisition and talent management practices on a global scale. A strong believer in the power of the human potential to transform organizations Unmesh has a passion for teaching and coaching leaders, he is also the sponsor for the HR Talent in Accenture India.

In his current role he has overall responsibility for designing and deploying Accenture’s Talent Acquisition Strategy to meet the talent growth needs across levels for all businesses globally in the 59 countries (FY 14th Accenture hired 82k people globally). In this role he partners with senior business runners, HR Leaders and his teams to deploy fit for purpose, innovative market leading talent acquisition interventions.

Between 2009 and 2014, Unmesh served as Managing Director— Human Resources for the Accenture Operations growth platform (~60000 employees globally). In this role he led the talent transformation to build differentiated market capabilities for the business at a time when the business was undergoing a key strategic shift to disrupt the market and reshape what outsourcing stands for; whilst ensuring employee engagement, retention and consistently being voted an employer of choice in the industry.

As the Talent Management Lead for Accenture in India during 2007-2009 he founded the Talent Management function for Accenture India thereby accelerating the journey of Human Capital Strategy for the Geography, Leadership development, capability building and inclusion and diversity to institutionalize a talent multiplier culture in the organization.

Prior to that Unmesh has been part of the core leadership team at Accenture enabling the startup and expansion of the off- shoring journey in India since 2001. He has spearheaded HR for the Technology business in Mumbai before going on to lead the Talent Acquisition function for India and in the process created a best in class recruiting capability that has not only enabled Accenture to grow organically in India but is also a Harvard Business School case study.
